About Ylös & Alas
Ylös & Alas (Högt & Lågt in Sweden) aims to build Sweden’s best climbing parks! Our primary target group is families with children, but we are just as happy to welcome football teams, groups of friends, corporate groups, and school classes. We currently operate in seven locations across Sweden and have also delivered climbing parks for external clients. It all began in Rättvik in 2019, and today Högt & Lågt can also be found in Sundsvall, Karlstad, Jönköping, Halmstad, Gotland, and Fårö.
Working at Ylös & Alas Ruka
The best days are when the park is buzzing. The sun is shining, ice creams are melting, and our guests are happy, excited, and ready for adventure up in the courses. To deliver the coolest summer experience, we need to be a strong team – ready to guide and support our guests every step of the way.
That’s why our parks have rescue staff, and a park manager. Each role comes with its own responsibilities, but together we make sure every guest leaves with an unforgettable adventure.
Here’s a closer look at the different roles:
Rescue Staff
Our rescuers are often former instructors with at least one season of experience. Once they turn 18, they can step into this role. They do everything instructors do, plus they’re trained and responsible for assisting guests up in the courses and performing rescues when needed.
Park Manager
The park manager keeps everything running smoothly day to day. They’re the “spider in the web” making sure guests are checked in and geared up safely, staff get their breaks, and there’s always someone patrolling the courses. A park manager isn’t afraid to jump in wherever needed and lead the team hands-on.
Apply for a job
We’re mainly a seasonal park with summer holidays as our peak season, but we open already in May. That means we usually run our recruitment in February–March. During that time, we post available positions above.
That said, you’re always welcome to send us an open application if you think you’re the one we’re missing on our team! Send your CV and cover letter to ruka@ylosalas.fi
Our Crew’s Experience

Simon Cederblad,
Rescue Staff
“As a rescuer, I get to do a bit of everything – from welcoming guests when they arrive, to leading safety briefings, to helping people up in the courses, both physically and verbally. After a day at work, you feel that good kind of tired, with a sense of satisfaction from knowing you’ve helped create great experiences.
For me, that’s the best part of the job – the feeling of contributing to guests having fun. At Ylös & Alas, I’ve learned different ways of meeting people in all kinds of situations and ages, so that everyone gets to enjoy their day.”

Vajken Isaksson & Simon Karlsson, Daily Managers
“As park managers, we make sure the day runs smoothly. We carry the overall responsibility for daily operations – from making decisions and solving problems to keeping in touch with guests and ensuring the staff have a good day at work.
The most fun part of the job is the variety – there’s always something to do, and it requires you to take initiative. In this role, we’ve developed our leadership skills, learned the value of working proactively, and discovered the importance of always staying one step ahead.”
